MondeID is built on a zero-storage, issuer-signed architecture that naturally aligns with most education and privacy regulations worldwide. Because MondeID does not hold transcripts, student records, or credential content, regulatory changes rarely require any modification to the platform.
If privacy or education laws evolve, the institution continues to act as the data controller and issues credentials exactly as it does today. MondeID’s role is limited to validating non-identifiable cryptographic proofs, which fall outside the scope of most personal-data definitions.
This approach makes MondeID resilient to updates in FERPA, GDPR, CPRA, and other international privacy frameworks. Any future regulatory adjustments can be implemented at the infrastructure level without affecting institutional workflows.
